I swore I would 1) get better about blogging again, and 2) move my blog from typepad to MSN Spaces.  I've kept a blog over the past 1 1/2 years I've lived in Ireland, and I love reading over it to remember things.  But, here I am, still procrastinating the move....so I'm just going to start now and forget about transferring...

 

So Sunday night M & I went to see Sons & Daughters at the Village.  They're a band out of Glasgow which M knew from her days living there.  She worked with Ailidh and Adele, and continues to be good friends with Ailidh.     Their website is at http://www.sonsanddaughtersloveyou.com/  They just finished touring the States, and even played at the Moore in Seattle AND...wait for it..Lawrence, Kansas! 

 

We were psyched about being on the guest list at the Village because it usually means you're on the balcony above the band and crowd which is just about the best place you could be at a gig, short of singing at the mic. Unfortunately, they closed the balcony for this show.  About a month ago I attended a big Polish gig with some Tati & Jarek (T-Love...they're the equivalent in Poland to U2 in Ireland) who "knew the band" which put us on the balcony.  It was a riot...the entire Polish population of Ireland was there, pogo (a.k.a mosh) dancing.
